Automated Machine Systems, Inc. (AMS) headquartered in Jenison, Michigan was founded in 1997 by entrepreneur Kris Chayer. His extensive background in machine design and manufacturing specific to the pallet industry as well as his lengthy experience in tool and die for the automotive industry, prepared him well to pursue his passion for automation. Since then, Kris has gathered around him a diverse team of individuals representing a vast range of skill sets. Together, the AMS team is committed to offering Service Driven Solutions to the pallet manufacturing & recycling, material handling, and timber processing industries.

Today, AMS has grown to be one of the major suppliers of automation, computerization and software to the industries it serves. A full design and supply integrator, AMS is driven to provide cost effective, value added solutions for automation supporting Pallet Repair, Sorting, Painting, Conveying, and Wood Recovery, as well as Pallet Wahing, Grinding, and Mold Treatment. In addition, AMS offers a wide reange of design innovations providing ergonaomic handling and operational organization which are adaptable to either new or existing operations and environments. Rounding out the AMS product line, the PalMate® line of software solutions provides computerization encompassing Pallet Design, fully scalable Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions, and Plant Floor Data Collection and Inventory Management.
